About Us

Kutztown Elementary School (KES) is one of our two elementary buildings in the Kutztown Area School District. Located on the same campus as our Middle and High schools, KES provides our students with unique educational experiences that foster positive behaviors and the highest levels of academic achievement. Led by principal Deborah Barnes, KES is a vibrant building that provides rich experiences for all of our K-5 students.
 

What are the school hours?

During the school year: 9 AM to 3:30 PM
During the summer: Monday through Thursday 7-4 PM; Office closed on Fridays through July

What time should students arrive?

Students should arrive at school by 8:45 AM. While school officially begins at 9 AM, students benefit from having time to unpack their belongings and plan for the day. Students arriving between 8:30 AM and 8:45 are supervised in the cafeteria. All students report to their classrooms at 8:45 AM.

Can I drop my child off at school before 8:30 AM?

For your child's safety, please plan to have your child arrive at school between 8:30 and 8:45 AM. Supervision at KES begins at 8:30 AM.
